Rez Infinite

Tetsuya Mizuguchi

A VR-evolved version of the synesthesia game “Rez”. The player becomes a hacker, floating through cyberspace destroying viruses and purifying the world around them. Each sound emitted from the player becomes music which fuses with the visuals, with the beat changing into vibrations. Set in a quantized cyberspace, a countless number of particles fuse with the music to provide a synesthetic storytelling experience for the player that feels like “seeing music” and “listening to images”. Rez has won many accolades, including best VR game at The Game Awards 2016 in America and the VR Special Award at the PlayStation Awards.
