Scalar Fields
This work visualizes the pressure field around the sole of a shoe. The propagation of pressure in air was visualized and recorded in 8K video. During the Ars Electronica Festival 2016, the visualization has been exhibited as floor and wall projection at Deep Space 8K with a marvelous 5.1 ch sound experience. A small-scale storm is raging in the micro space around the shoe sole. Wind pressure generated due to walking, blows off the mite from the carpet. Converting to macro scale, it is similar to the phenomenon in which human beings get blown off by the air pressure generated when buildings collapse or air raids are conducted in war regions. Through simulation and visualization, we may obtain a wide range of perception connecting the micro to the macro world.
