The present situation of the Earth, various scientific data concerning “sustainability” and SDGs (such as global warming, circulation of marine plastic wastes, global transfer of pandemics, etc.) are dynamically visualized on 12 brand-new digital globes “Sphere”, installed as a temporary Earth Museum at the westwalk atrium (2F).

    Anthropologist and ecologist, Shinichi Takemura (Professor at Kyoto University of Art and Design) is also known as an inventor of the world’s first digital globe “Tangible Earth” and its compact version “Sphere”. He is an award-winner at the Ars Electronica and the Good Design Award (Japan), and serves as a communication design advisor for UN (UNDRR).
