While moving in the forest with a group of artificial life, various sounds will be presented. Sounds are generated in the experience space as the users move around, creating a unique experience that differs for each user. Feeling the information embedded in the space in various forms through the five senses creates a new reality in our minds.

Artist Profile

  • Naotaka Fujii

    M.D., Ph.D., Neuroscientist Representative Director of Hacosco Inc. / Representative Director of XR Consortium, Professor, Digital Hollywood University Graduate School Graduated from Tohoku University School of Medicine. Since 1998, he has been a researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and McGovern Institute. Deputy leader at RIKEN Brain Science Institute since 2004 and Lab Head since 2008. In 2014 he started Hacosco Inc. His main research topics are elucidation of adaptive intelligence and social brain functions. Major books include “Connected Brain”, “Introduction to Social Brains”, “Expanding Brain”, etc.

  • GRINDER-MAN

    An artistic group in Tokyo created by director Hitoshi Taguchi and the choreographer/dancer Makiko Izu. Their aim is to divert the idea of “here and now” by carefully planned sensory impressions based on dance. The group carries out projects for museums, theaters, art festivals and various other opportunities across Japan and abroad. Their art beats generalization and goes far beyond the boundaries of art.

    Musician and sound artist, born 1976. Has been creating and performing edgy works of electronic music, while at once engaging in prismatic sound design utilizing cutting-edge technology. He organized new project “See by Your Ears” producing an extraordinary audio experience described as like seeing something with your ears (without eyes). It’s regarded with high esteem as an epoch-making piece in the history of sound art. Recent activities include the installations “See by Your Ears”(2016/ Sonar+D, Barcelona)”, “Louis Vuitton: Dance with AI”(2016/Tokyo), “Citizen: time is TIME” (2016/Milano Salone, Milano), “Rhizomatiks Research x Elevenplay: border”(2016/YCAM, Yamaguchi) as well as the CD “acoustic bend” (2010/ label port). Also active in sound production for the stage, screen, and public spaces, using the latest technology. These works have garnered numerous awards at events such as the Ars Electronica, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and the Japan Media Arts Festival.
