Invisible Sculpture
This work is an “exhibitionless” exhibition that overturns the common sense of art appreciation. When the user directs the light of the flashlight towards the exhibition stand where the work is not placed, a “shadow” of the work that can not be found appears.
By approaching and moving away with a flashlight, and shining light from various angles, the shadow changes its shape, and you begin to feel the “presence” of a work that should not exist. A new media installation in which the experiencers themselves search for such “invisible statues” by themselves and admire the shapes while appreciating them.
How does the brain interpret when technology gives the presence of something that doesn’t exist? This is a work that explores the boundary between reality and virtual reality.
